Welcome to the Hoogie website!
Hoogie are a 5 piece Scottish folk band, we have been playing traditional music festivals and recording albums since 1997. Our music is an exciting variety of Scottish tunes and songs. Much of the music has been composed by the band members themselves, and several of the compositions have been recorded by other artists.
Hoogie were winners at the renowned Danny Kyle Open Stage competition at Glasgow's Celtic Connections in 2002, and the band have appeared all over the UK and Europe, including Speyfest, and the Shetland, Linlithgow, Lomond, Isle of Eigg, Alves, and many other Scottish Festivals, the Lorient Interceltique festival in Brittany, and many concert appearances in Northern Italy. Our TV and Radio appearances have included French Radio, Grampian TV and BBC Scotland.
