Welcome to the Hoogie website!

Hoogie is a 5 piece Scottish band, we have been playing traditional music festivals and recording albums since 1997. Our music is an exciting variety of Scottish tunes and songs. Much of the music has been composed by the band members themselves, and several of the compositions have been recorded by other artists.

Hoogie won the renowned Danny Kyle Open Stage competition at Glasgow's Celtic Connections in 2002, and the band has appeared all over the UK and Europe for concerts, TV and Radio.

The band is taking a wee pause at the moment as our irreplaceable world-famous ginger accordionist, Dougie Hunter, is currently living in a land far far away.
